“Albert van Westing was invited as artist in residence at the Royal Dutch Institute (KNIR) as part of the jubilee, 1904 - 2004.

In his studio Van Westing has concentrated on studies of the male nude, related to intimacy as well to sculpture. Currently at the KNIR, research is going on into new methods of describing the representation of the male body and the expression of intimacy in sculptures from Roman antiquity. For this reason Van Westing was invited to co-operate with researchers at the KNIR.

Van Westing shows at the Fonds BKVB (Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture) amongst others Naples 1 and Naples 2.”
